About

My name is Amelia, a student in  at Coláiste Pobail Bheanntraí. I’m also the founder of Le Grá Amelia, a small business inspired by my love for the Irish language and Irish culture.

My Love for Gaeilge and Seanfhocail

I absolutely love speaking Irish and have a big grá for Gaeilge. At home, my parents and grandparents often use Seanfhocail (Irish proverbs) to teach us important life lessons, and my teachers used them in primary school too.

Over time, I noticed that Seanfhocail were being used less and less, and I felt it was important to keep them alive. They are a beautiful way to stay connected to the Irish language and can inspire and motivate us every day.

How Le Grá Amelia Started

I started making framed Seanfocail prints in 6th Class as farewell gifts for my teachers. People loved them, and there was lots of interest, so I decided to turn my idea into a business!

Today, Le Grá Amelia creates framed Seanfhocail prints that celebrate Irish language, culture, and positive messages.

Supporting Local and Sustainable Businesses

Supporting local Irish businesses is really important to me. I use sustainable packaging made from recycled paper from a local supplier, have my prints, stickers, and business cards made by a local printer, and source my frames from an Irish supplier.

I hope my prints inspire people, keep Seanfhocail in everyday life, and spread a little bit of Gaeilge.

Le grá,

Amelia
